This incredible Mayan tradition goes back centuries. Modern-day shamans perform Personal Mayan Fire Ceremony Shamanic Cleansing-Protection-Healing as a way of maintaining their spiritual life. Mayans from many of the highland tribes travel for hours to visit holy caves and sacred sites.
You will feel the energy and power of this magical ritual. It is a big honor to be a witness to the ceremony that is a true part of the living Mayan culture of the Guatemalan highlands.
Participating in your own ceremony, you can ask for healing, protection, safe travels, cleansing of bad energy, or insight into challenges in your life. Also, with the help of your local guide, you will learn about the 5000-year-old Mayan calendar, how it's related to the ceremony, and how it intertwines with the everyday life of the modern Maya of Guatemala.

Things to note

Please come prepared for a short bus ride to the cave area. You will pay for your own bus fare, 3 GTQ per person. It is a nice hike to the cave area, so wear sturdy shoes.
